Who is behind the desk
Kartka is Kartka ehf., posting from Reykjavík. Celina collects the cards on her travels, hand-picks a few for the shop, writes them, and posts them. She does not draw or print the pictures. Each card is a found object.
What you are buying
A physical postcard, as photographed (or shown with a placeholder until the real scan is up). Paper, marks, and small travel scars are part of the thing. It is sold as a unique card, not a reprint we can run again.
When a card is gone, it is gone. There is no restock of that exact piece. The next one will have come from somewhere else.
Send for me
If you ask us to write and post the card, we copy your words in ink, address the envelope, and give it to the post on or after the date you chose. Once it is in the post, we cannot un-write it or call it back. Please check the name, the address, and the message before you pay.
We may refuse a message that is abusive or unlawful. If that happens, we will write to you before posting.
Money, title, and the post
Prices are as shown, with tax treated the way your market requires. You pay through Shopify’s checkout. The card remains ours until it is posted; after that, it is travelling as a letter.
Times on the site (about 5-9 days in the UK and EU, 8-14 farther) are honest estimates, not spells. Storms, strikes, and other people’s sorting offices exist. If a card has not arrived after that window plus a week, write to us. We cannot reprint a found card, but we will make it right - another card, a refund, or both - like people who still answer the mail.
The paragraph that has to sound like a lawyer
Nothing on the site is a promise of a particular landscape remaining in stock. We are not liable for indirect losses (a birthday that already happened, a joke that arrived late). This does not take away rights you have as a consumer where you live. Icelandic law governs the shop; you may also have local protections that cannot be signed away.
